Hiking Berry Creek Falls

Apparently, the Love Parade rocked SF this year. We missed out, unfortunately. One can't have everything though.. We had a pretty good weekend at Little Basin, a park near Big Basin State Park. One of the perks of working for Agilent (my new employer), our cabin stay was free of charge :)

On Saturday, we hiked 11 miles to Berry Creek Falls and back. There is a great description of the hike and the area in general (including photos) at this site. The majestic redwoods kept us company through the long walk!

The Jammers

These wonderful vehicles from the 1930's are still in use today in Glacier National Park and used on guided tours. The top can be removed making them a lot of fun to ride in. We didn't get to go though.

Kayaking Lake McDonald

Trying to, anyway. It was a little windy and the water was rough for our inflatable. Still, it was the first time we took it on the water so it was fun!
This is in Glacier National Park.

Picture update

Sorry but I am running late on updating you all with the pictures from our summer road trip. Arjun, however, has uploaded a number of great pictures. Check his flickr or his blog.

I promise I will get down to picking my favourites, eventually!

The Fusion

How many blades are enough for your razor? Gillette is stepping up in its battle for shaving dominance with the launch of the Fusion, a 5-bladed razor. When will this madness end? Shick is partly to blame because they launched the 4-bladed razor last year, forcing Gillette to retaliate. However, the consumer must act or rather resist, if this mad race is to end! Please stick with your Mach3 or SensorExcel or whatever your current razor is, as long as you are happy and don't buy this new monstrosity just because of the extra blade(s)!! If you give in, the day when we have a 10 blade-razor might not be far off.
